The establishment of architecture as a social process is essential to
Sambo's philosophy in every way, from how the thing is made, to the
involvement of community, the sense of an architect's moral obligation to society, and the respect and caring for the environment. . .that is, the "architects" of the Rural Studio understand the making of architecture in the context of a much larger social and environmental community, and that the process is collaborative - they are part of something larger and more noble than just themselves. . .and inspiration derives from interaction and exploration, following from the desire to find beauty therein.
