I like to try new food in new cities. It's not necessarily the food of
the region that I order. But there is a little something. I repeatedly
try to imagine, when eating Chinese in Germany, how a Chinese cook gets
along in a German city. Where does he get ingredients, what do Chinese
think about potatoes? Is it easy to buy potatoes in China, and if so,
is this desirable food? I never think about the
Chinese in this way in the US.
