Hope Street, Brooklyn, NY
I shared an apartment in Williamsburg one year ago. When my friend and
me moved in, the place was in a pretty bad condition. To level the floor,
we needed floor plaining machine. We looked through the Yellow pages and
found a rental place nearby. It was within walking distance, on Hope Street.
Half of the street was made up of a ramp, which joined with a highway
overdrive. The other half was scattered with run down shops. It was basically
a place with no distinct body. I once heard someone on the radio saying
that hope is more in the body than in the mind.
Imagine an immigrant coming to the New World, landing here.
